Spud in the Bucket Competition 2024

Take part in our Spuds in a Bucket Competition!!

Big weigh in day - Saturday 14 September 2024.

(Prizes for the heaviest weighted potatoes)

 

Instructions:

- Collect your FREE seed potato in spring from the Visitor Centre Shop.

- Find an old 5-litre bucket and make some holes in the bottom.

- Cover the bottom with soil or compost, and add your potato.

- Cover the potato with a couple of inches of soil or compost and a few dead leaves.

- As your potato plant grows, keep adding more soil.

- Keep it well watered.

- Bring your bucket to the Valley on SATURDAY 14 SEPTEMBER for the BIG WEIGH IN!

- We will weigh how many potatoes you grew!

- Take your potatoes home and make something tasty with them!
