Hamstead Library is part of the Tanhouse Centre, which also contains memorabilia around the 1908 Hamstead Colliery disaster. It is close to Sandwell Valley and Red House Park.

You will find a selection of books for all ages, along with computers and free wi-fi. There are learning sessions, such as basic ICT, careers advice and more.

There is a children’s section with regular activities going on, especially in school holidays.
