About

Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick - GNG - is a faith led 'not for profit' organisation. It is dedicated to practicing and promoting the Sikh faith in the name of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder and first Guru of the Sikh faith. Established in 1961 as the first and largest Gurdwara in the United Kingdom, it remains one of the most prominent and influential Sikh Gurdwaras in the world with a weekly congregation of approximately 10,000. Over the years the Gurdwara has developed into an iconic place of worship for Sikhs and a community hub that is open to all. Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s key message of equality and contribution to society is of significance to people of all faiths and those of no faith at all.
