Your 2026 Sandwell Carers Week Event hosted at Sandwell Valley Park!

Welcome to your Sandwell Carers Week event 2026, celebrating the incredible contribution of unpaid Carers across our community.

Forward Carers are thrilled to bring together unpaid Carers, community organisations, statutory services and partners from across Sandwell for this family-friendly celebration at the wonderful Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre.

There will be entertainment, wellness activities, information stands and plenty more. Bring the whole family (dogs are welcome too)!

Midland Mencap will also be bringing their Parkride Accessible Bikes, giving attendees the chance to experience an accessible wellbeing ride.

BUDs – dementia-focused practical support and communication skills.

POhWER – information session around support and advocacy services.

Body Mind Collective – gentle yoga, movement, and relaxation (only available after 11:15am).

The Challengers – mindfulness and practical self-care tools for Carers.

Line Dancing - Two 30-minute line dancing sessions for the whole family! One in the morning, one in the afternoon. try something new, get active, and have fun.

Tai-Chi - An ancient Chinese tradition, this will combine slow, gentle movements, deep breathing, and focussed attention to improve physical and mental health. It will be held in the beautiful and serene walled gardens.

Face Painting - Add a bit of fun to the day with some free faceprinting! Available for the whole family, throughout the day!

Over 25 stall holders and information stands - all available throughout the day for Carers!

Whether you are a Carer, support someone who is, or work in a service that supports Carers, this event offers a welcoming space to discover support and meet others.

The event runs from 10am – 2:30pm, pop in at any time!

The event is totally free and will include a token for tea and cake at lunch.
