About

Tipton Library is situated on the first floor of Owen House, which is served by a lift and stairs. It contains the Tipton Heritage Centre museum about the history of the area, and holds the town’s Roll of Honour. It is close to Victoria Park, and the scenic canal junction. The town’s famous 19th century boxer, William Perry, otherwise known as the Tipton Slasher, lived close by at the Fountain public house.

You will find a selection of books for all ages, along with computers and free wi-fi. There are learning sessions, such as basic ICT, careers advice and more.

There is a children’s section with regular activities going on, especially in school holidays.

Our friendly staff will help you find what you’re after, whether that’s a book or information on any subject.
