Join us at Bleakhouse Library for the first Arts Council England-funded Sandwell Stanzas Open Mic Poetry Night, featuring Morgan Birch as our headline poet.

Sandwell Stanzas is a welcoming series of open mic poetry nights taking place across Sandwell libraries throughout 2026–27.

Whether you're an experienced poet, completely new to performing, or simply want to come along and enjoy an evening of spoken word, you're welcome to join us. Take to the open mic, discover new voices and enjoy a headline performance from Morgan Birch.

Sandwell Stanzas aims to create an inclusive and accessible space where people can share their words, meet other creatives and connect through poetry.

Please note: this event is 18+.

Entry is FREE / Pay As You Feel.

Sandwell Stanzas is delivered by AccessAbility Arts, working with Sandwell Libraries & Archives, and supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
