Bromwich Hall Museum, Hall Green Road, West Bromwich B71 2EA

Our beach will be open throughout the hols when we have activities on!

Bromwich Hall Beach Day: Wednesday 23 July, 11am – 3pm. Find all the fun of the beach on your   doorstep! Play in sandpits and enjoy outdoor games and toys. Free entry, no need to book. Small charges for some crafts. Museum and tearoom open.

Babies Adventures In Music: Friday 25 July, 11am. A music performance that is designed to enchant and entertain babies 0-18 months. Featuring music from across the world performed by Sam Frankie Fox and Ricardo Santos Rocha. Adult and child tickets from £5. Book at ticketsource.

Army Engagement Sessions: Monday 28 July; Tuesday 12 August; Wednesday 27 August, 11am – 3pm. 11am is for 7-11 year olds; 1.00pm session for 12-17 year olds. The army are here with tyre towers, mission boxes, batak walls, problem solving and team working activities. Make new friends and learn new skills! Tickets are free but must be booked via Ticketsource.

We Forest Folk with Ampersand Projects: Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 July; Tuesday 5 and    Wednesday 6 August. 2 bookable sessions per day, 10.30am-12pm and 1pm-2.30pm. Suitable for 0-11 year olds. This summer, we invite families to discover the magic of nature. Join Ampersand Projects for a series of creative nature-based sessions designed especially for children and their families to play, explore, move, and create together. Tickets are available on a 'pay as you can' basis—if you're able to contribute, every penny goes directly into supporting creative outdoor opportunities for our community. Space is limited, so booking is essential, book at weforestfolk.org.

Go Play: Monday 4 August; Monday 11 August; Tuesday 26 August, all 10am – 3pm. Join Go Play for a fun day of games and activities in the sunshine with crafts and a trail in the museum. This will be moved inside if the weather is poor. All ages welcome, no need to book. Free, with small charges for crafts.

Keneish Dance presents: Dancin’ on Extreme Q&A Monday 18 August 1.30-2.30pm. Got chilly questions about the coldest place on Earth? Hear real personal stories from the extremes—true tales of life in one of the world’s toughest, most awe-inspiring places. Marvel at the sheer size and power of Antarctica, while learning about natures fragility — and our place in preserving this wild place. Ask your own    questions in our frosty Q&A — no question too cold! Inviting curious kids and adventurous adults.

Keneish Dance presents: Dancin’ on Extreme Interactive workshop. Tuesday 19 August 1.30-2.50pm. We invite curious kids and adventurous adults to join us for a fun, family-friendly workshop where we dance, move, discover, and explore the fragile extremes of humans in Antarctica! Move through the wind, slide across icy shelves, climb glaciers as we journey through the frozen wild using dance, movement and wild imagination! Play Day 2025: Wednesday 20 August, 12pm – 4pm. Celebrate Play Day 2025 with a jam-packed day of activities: Dhol drumming workshops, cooking workshops, a theatre production, stilt walkers and giant bubbles! Powered by CAN are providing play activities and games. Booking information to come. Tea room open.

Bioblitz with SandNats: Saturday 16 August, 12pm – 3pm. Enjoy our beautiful grounds with a nature walk, pond dipping and moth trapping! Join our experts in insects and plants and learn about galls and fungi. Free entry, suitable for all ages. Museum and tearoom open, just drop in.

Bromwich Hall continued—dates for the diary

Medieval Mayhem - Enjoy our annual medieval encampment at Bromwich Hall on 13th and 14th September, 11am-4pm. See knights and ladies and the Lord’s horse enjoy weapons demonstrations, music and dance, costumed characters learn about medicine, play medieval games, have a go at archery and join in with knight school, crafts and trails. Get messy and make your own medieval tile to take home. Entry Free

Bag Printing Wednesday 23 July 11.30am and 1.30pm. Book on to our bag printing workshop where you can design, print and decorate a cotton tote or drawstring bag.  Ages 5+, £3 per person. Booking essential via ticketsource

Brilliant Beads. Thursday 24 July 11am – 3pm. Make keyring, phone charm or piece of jewellery with our bead selection.  Ages 3+ £2 per item. No booking required, just drop in

Gorgeous Glass. Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 July tbc. Using our stained glass exhibition as inspiration  make your own colourful decoration.  Ages 5 + £3 per person. No booking required, just drop in.

Tile workshops 6 and 7 August 11.30am and 1.30am. Make a Clay Tile using a variety of tools to create your own design.  Age 7+ £5 per Tile.  Booking essential via ticketsource

Army Take Over Days. Thursday 14 August and Wednesday 20 August 11am – 3pm.  Join the Army as they take over Wednesbury Museum and Art Gallery with fun, team work and problem solving activities including Tyre Towers, Batak Walls and Stepping Stones.  You can even try to break the Enigma Code and build a  vehicle.  Age 5-17 years.  Sessions at 11am—12.30pm & 1pm-3pm. Tickets are free but must be booked via Ticketsource

Steve The Juggler. Thursday 28 August 11am – 3.30pm. Drop in and practise your circus skills with Steve the Juggler. 11am—12.30pm & 2-3.30pm. See his amazing show at 1pm. Ages 3+.  Free entry , no booking   required.

Family Nature Mindfulness at Haden Hill House with Wonder in Nature. 25 July, 7, 21 and 28 August 11am - 3 pm. Explore and connect with nature through your senses. Get involved with nature items and nature connection play outside Haden Hill House, free activity, creativity packs for sale. Family Nature Mindfulness guided activity walks in the park grounds, £3 per person, children must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book. Music takeover with Future Through Sound. Friday 1 August 11am-3pm. Workshop with acclaimed UK producer A Class. Get creative making and performing your own music using digital music technology. Supported by Powered by CAN. Free drop in workshop suitable for 11 years and older

Make a kite, buy a kite, fly a kite. Thursday 7 August 11am-3pm. Drop in kite making workshop £3 per kite. Ages 5 years and above. 20% off kites for sale in the museum shop – this day only!

Friday 22 August time to be confirmed. Become illuminated as we split apart white light and create rainbows in the room Discover how light travels and how it can be used in everyday life. Crazy Chemists – hands on science workshops at 1pm and 2:15pm. suitable for ages 5-11 years. £4.50 workshops at Oak House Museum. Explore chemical reactions in this hands-on session. From colour changing liquids to slimy putty. (every child will make a pot to take home), this is sure to get a reaction from everyone! All participating children require a ticket. ‘Graffitti/Street Art take over session’ Tuesday 19 August. delivered by by Powered By CAN. Join in and create something exciting. This will be free to us and free for participants

Nature Fun: Wednesday 20 August. Join nature makers for a fantastic session get inspired by our lovely grounds and then create some great nature art. Small charge to join in, pre-booking essential at https://www.nature-makers.co.uk/walsall-and-sandwell.  Sessions for 4-10 year olds at 11.30am. Under 5s at 1pm. Sandwell naturalists will also be here for you to join in their bioblits to see what wildlife we can spot in our grounds, crafts and trails.                        

Crafty Creatures: Tuesday 26, and Wednesday 27 August 11.30am-3pm, drop in and use our boxes and crafty bits and bobs to create your own garden creatures and insects to take home.
