Sandwell’s Armed Forces Day!

Civic Square, Oldbury

Join us to celebrate Armed Forces Day in Sandwell. This FREE event will begin with a small parade at 10.45am, followed by a short service at the War Memorial at 11am.

Bring your family and friends to get involved in a Home Guard reenactment group who will bring history to life, with the opportunity to experience the Home Guard recruitment process, see medical and radio signalling equipment, and even take part in a foot drill. You can also enjoy the fabulous 1940s-style singing and dancing, alongside the local market stalls in the Town Centre. 

Information stalls are available throughout the event, giving the chance to meet inspiring veterans and serving personnel, hear their stories, and learn how you can support them now and in the future. Visitors can also explore military equipment, including an army Land Rover and a JCB. ​​​​​​
