Sandwell Remembrance Sunday Services and Parades 2026

On Sunday 8 November 2026, communities across Sandwell will come together to mark Remembrance Sunday and honour the service and sacrifice of those who have served and given their lives in conflict.

Seven parades and remembrance services will take place across the borough, with representation from the West Midlands Lieutenancy at each event. Members of the public wishing to watch the parades are encouraged to arrive from 10.30am. Parades will be followed by services, during which a two-minute silence will be observed at 11am at local war memorials.

• Oldbury - Civic Square

• Rowley Regis - Powke Lane Cemetery

• Smethwick - Smethwick Council House

• Tipton - Victoria Park

• Wednesbury - Memorial Gardens

• West Bromwich - Dartmouth Park

The events have been organised by the Royal British Legion and local community groups, with support from Sandwell Council.

Attending the Events

Everyone is welcome to attend and pay their respects.

Please be aware that temporary road closures will be in place in some areas to accommodate the parades. Visitors are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time for travel.
