Reclaim the Night Walk

About

Reclaim the Night Walk - Monday 8 December

When: Monday 8 December, 4-7pm.

Where: Meet at Sandwell Council House at 4pm, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DB.

This is a peaceful, family-friendly, stewarded walk, mainly on pavements and well-lit streets in Oldbury.

Join our Reclaim the Night Walk from Sandwell Council House as Sandwell stands together against violence towards women and girls.

As part of the 16 Days of Action against Gender-Based Violence, join Sandwell Council and Black Country Women's Aid for an evening walk for women, reclaiming the right to safety within public spaces and promoting a culture of respect, equality and accountability

Together, residents, partners and staff will walk in solidarity to:

  • Say no to violence, harassment and abuse
  • Reclaim our streets and public spaces
  • Show support for survivors and those currently experiencing abuse
  • Celebrate the strength and solidarity of our communities
  • This is a peaceful, family-friendly, stewarded walk.

Everyone who lives, works or studies in Sandwell is welcome, but please register so we can plan safely for numbers.
