About
A photographic exhibition celebrating local sporting communities is being exhibited at several venues across Sandwell until 31 August 2022, as part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival. People, Place and Sport by award-winning artist, Jaskirt Boora, in collaboration with community arts organisation Multistory, will shine a light on 25 individuals and hubs where grassroots sport take place.
Jaskirt Boora explores the role of gender and ethnicity in sport through a series of photographic portraits and recorded conversations. People, Place and Sport is a celebration of local communities and grassroots sport in the West Midlands. Jaskirt has been capturing inspiring images at much-loved sporting hubs on a weekly basis along with conversations with people in the community about what sports means to them.
