We Forest Folk by Ampersand: Saturday 17 October, sessions 10.30-12 and 1-2.30. This Autumn, we invite families to discover the magic of nature. Join us for We Forest Folk—a series of creative nature-based sessions designed especially for children and their families to play, explore, move, and create together. These sessions are outdoors so dress for the weather. Suitable for children aged 1-11. Tickets are on a ‘pay what you can’ basis. Book via bookwhen.com/weforestfolk.

Halloween Disco- Wednesday 28 October, 6pm-7:30pm. Wear your favourite costume and dance the night away to our spooktastic tunes! Enjoy the tuck shop and tombola. Tickets cost £2.00 per child and 50p per accompanying adult. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Haden Hill House Museum and Old Hall, B64 7JU 

The Haunting of Haden Hill House - Saturday 24 October, 6pm
In the bitter winter of 1941, Haden Hill Hall became a refuge for displaced children, until a mysterious toymaker arrived, nightmares spread, and a devastating fire consumed the east wing. Decades later, the hall stands empty, but the annual fog brings a chilling tradition; a handmade toy left beneath the old sandstone cross. Join us to uncover the stories buried in the walls and the silence that still haunts these grounds.

A Vampire’s Ball- Thursday 29 October 11am-3pm in the Old Hall
You are cordially invited to the Vampire Ball of the season! Join us for a day of spooky fun, disco dancing, wicked games and plenty of vampire mischief! Come dressed to impress in your finest attire (Our vampire welcomes all little monsters and ghouls!) and get ready to have a ball in the Old Hall!

Night Guardians: Vampire Hunt. Protectors of the Hall: Thursday 29 October 11:15-2:15  
Join Professor Black’s Vampire Hunter Academy and see if you can uncover the secrets of Haden Hill House and help the Vampire Hunter solve his neighbourly mystery… sometimes you never know what (or who) is lurking close by!

The vampire fun continues! Join us for spooky games, creepy crafts and our vampire hunt.

Join us for some cosy autumnal fun! Help us make the Gallery Scarecrow, get creative with autumnal crafts and follow our trail around the museum.

Mortuus – a theatre show -Saturday 7 November. 1.30pm

Mortuus, a new theatre show by Infamous Arts celebrating ‘day of the dead’ rituals from around the world, tours this November. All around the world, November is a time for remembrance and celebrating the lives of people who have gone before. A new show, Mortuus, from Infamous Arts, explores these traditions for a family audiences, touring the Black Country this November, supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

Storytelling and puppetry come together to look at how remembrance takes place around the world.

There will be an hour long creative workshop after the performance.

Halloween Fun Day: Tuesday 27 October, 11am-3pm. Join us for some Halloween fun with Will-e-Droppit, juggler and magician. Have a wander around the house for creepy crafts, trails and other spooky activities. Don’t forget to come dressed to scare!

Crazy Potions with Fizzpop Science: Wednesday 28 October 11am-3pm,
Halloween fun with Fizzpop Science exploring crazy chemical reactions, foaming eruptions and flammable explosions! Then get hands-on and create your own slime to take home. £8 per child, to include slime. Booking essential via ticketsource. Sessions at various times. This is not drop in so please arrive 15 mins before the session starts. 

 

Fungi Sunday – Sunday 1 November 11am-2pm - 

Join us for loads of mushroom fun with our Fungi Foray, crafts and trails and fabulous fungi performance! 

Fungi Foray - Join us at 11am for our Fungi Foray and explore our grounds with mushroom expert Lukas Large and see what exciting things you can find and learn more about them

Enjoy our Fungi trail and fungi crafts throughout the day. 

You can also visit our 17th century house and look around. 

Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes Performance at 12.30pm. Booking needed for the performance via ticketsource

Here we are in Plasticland... there’s rubbish everywhere, and that’s no good! Join Fungi Frida as she travels along the Wood Wide Web to meet a host of mycological superheroes and find the perfect mushroom ally to help us clean up the plastic - she can’t do it without you!

Will it be cordyceps, who can control minds? Or isaria, who heals poorly people? Or coprinus, who makes ink? Or maybe pleurotus, he’s not a fussy eater...

‘Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes’ is an hour-long, energetic, silly, interactive outdoor performance full of songs, games, clowning, and puppetry for all the family all about fungi and how they can help us save the environment!
