Bromwich Hall has stood in the landscape for 750 years and was once the home of the Lords of the Manor of West Bromwich and at the centre of a busy medieval manor. 

The oldest parts of the building date back to 1270 and in its 750 years as well as being at the centre of a medieval manor it has been the home of the Attorney General to Charles I at the dawn of the English Civil War,  tenements for the poorest local residents and the Manor House public house and restaurant. 

Our doors are open on Saturdays once a month with something extra for you to enjoy, explore and learn about. Explore our old beams and learn about 750 years of history. 

Entry is free - no need to book. Last admission 2:30pm

15 April: 11am-3pm. From 11:30am enjoy a fantastic talk in the great hall explore 800 years of music with replica musical instruments and music and songs played also explore our old beams and discover the story of this fantastic house. Entry free

13 May: 11am- 3pm entry free - See our costumed character in the great hall and see demonstrations of textile working and weaving techniques t make braids, you can even have a little go! Explore our old beams and discover the story of this fantastic medieval house.

17th June: 11am-3pm entry free. Something for young visitors with magic and balloons, crafts and trails outdoors (if weather is permitting indoors if now)

15 July: 11am-3pm. At 2pm there will be a concert in the great hall as part of the Birmingham, Sandwell and West Side Jazz festival. Entry free

19th August: 11am-3pm entry free -  extra activity to be confirmed

16th and 17th September. 11am-4pm. See knights and ladies and enjoy our medieval encampment in the grounds and see the Lord of the Manor in the Great Hall. Young visitors can join knight school and everyone can enjoy combat displays, cookery, medicine, stories, games and dancing. Entry free

14th October 11am-4pm - extra activity to be confirmed

18 November 11am-4pm - extra activity to be confirmed
