Bromwich Hall Museum

An Audience with a psychic- Saturday 10 October,2pm-6pm

Come and spend an afternoon with psychic medium Karen Fray. Readings will be provided to the audience in the main hall.  The event does not guarantee an individual reading.

Medieval Paint Workshop Saturday 17 October 10am – 3pm

Witchcraft in the West Midlands Monday 19 October 6.30pm

Step into the hidden history of witchcraft in the West Midlands. From protective marks carved into Black Country doorways to the trials, fears, and folklore that shaped our region, this event explores how belief, suspicion, and everyday magic left their mark on local lives. The venue itself preserves historic witch marks, offering a rare chance to see these protective symbols in situ.

Halloween Disco- Wednesday 28 October, 6pm-7:30pm

Wear your favourite costume and dance the night away to our spooktastic tunes! Enjoy the tuck shop and tombola. Tickets cost £2.00 per child and 50p per accompanying adult. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Paranormal Investigation- Friday 30 October, 7.30pm-10.30pm.  

Book onto this paranormal evening as you take a tour of our fabulous medieval building with our investigators and see what mysteries you can uncover and what our investigators can feel. Superstitions at Bromwich Hall: Old Fears, Everyday Rituals Friday 13 November 6.30pm

Bromwich Hall carries centuries of protective marks carved to keep danger out — but the beliefs behind them didn’t vanish. Join us for a talk exploring the superstitions people once relied on, and the everyday ones we still follow today: black cats crossing our path, walking under ladders, touching wood, avoiding umbrellas indoors, and more. Discover how these small habits grew from deep fears, how they shaped ordinary life, and why so many of them still cling to us now.

Haden Hill House Museum and Old Hall

The Haunting of Haden Hill House - Saturday 24 October, 6pm

In the bitter winter of 1941, Haden Hill Hall became a refuge for displaced children, until a mysterious toymaker arrived, nightmares spread, and a devastating fire consumed the east wing. Decades later, the hall stands empty, but the annual fog brings a chilling tradition; a handmade toy left beneath the old sandstone cross. Join us to uncover the stories buried in the walls and the silence that still haunts these grounds.

An original one-man show adapted from the great Bram Stoker Gothic novel. Jonathan Goodwin plays Count Dracula, Lord of the Undead, and a host of others in this classic tale of late-Victorian vampirism! Prepare to learn the bloody truth that lies beyond the legend!

Join us for loads of mushroom fun with our Fungi Foray, crafts and trails and fabulous fungi performance! 

Fungi Foray - Join us at 11am for our Fungi Foray and explore our grounds with mushroom expert Lukas Large and see what exciting things you can find and learn more about them

Enjoy our Fungi trail and fungi crafts throughout the day. 

You can also visit our 17th century house and look around. 

Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes’ Performance at 12.30pm. Booking needed for the performance. 

Here we are in Plasticland... there’s rubbish everywhere, and that’s no good! Join Fungi Frida as she travels along the Wood Wide Web to meet a host of mycological superheroes and find the perfect mushroom ally to help us clean up the plastic - she can’t do it without you!

Will it be cordyceps, who can control minds? Or isaria, who heals poorly people? Or coprinus, who makes ink? Or maybe pleurotus, he’s not a fussy eater...

‘Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes’ is an hour-long, energetic, silly, interactive outdoor performance full of songs, games, clowning, and puppetry for all the family all about fungi and how they can help us save the environment!
