Oak House- Easter holiday fun

Wellbeing Workshops From March 5th. Every Tuesday 12.3pm except school half terms and holidays. Grounds open at 11am. Open to all ages, everyone welcome. Take a moment out of your day, enjoy a peaceful walk in the grounds and see what wildlife you can spot. In our warm classrooms you can have a hot drink and drop into our relaxing free wellness workshops. Over the weeks this will include drawing, painting, clay modelling, creative writing and much more. We will have jigsaws and games available and plenty of time to chat and explore different arts and activities to help with feelings of calmness and creativity. Free Entry. Please note the house is closed for building works until May 2024.

Battle on the Heath 26th March 11:00-3:00pm Come and learn about the Turton family during the 17th century and hear about the battle of Stourbridge Heath that members of the Turton family fought at 420 years ago today! Visit our 17th camp, with cooking demonstrations on an outdoor campfire (weather permitting) and look real historic items such as musket balls and 17th tokens. Other activities include historic board games, pike drills and a chance to paint your own Civil War soldier (suitable for older children). Free Entry. Small charge for craft activities.
